Encouraging Oromo Youth in Sports – Chilalo of Michigan

The Oromo Community Association of Michigan strongly believes in the importance of youth engagement in sports as a way to promote health, discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

  • Chilalo of Michigan is the community’s official youth sports program, providing Oromo children and teens with opportunities to participate in soccer and other athletic activities.
  • Our goal is to develop strong, confident young athletes who embody Oromo values while staying physically active and engaged in their community.
  • By supporting youth sports, we help instill teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging—preparing our young people to be future leaders.
