The Oromo Community Association of Michigan (OCAM) was established in 1993 and adopted its bylaws in March 2008 as a voluntary, nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Oromo heritage, fostering community well-being, and supporting Oromo individuals and families in Michigan.’

The Oromo community Association of Michigan(OCAM) was established as a mutual assistance organization to support Oromo immigrants in Michigan. It provides essential resources, cultural preservation, and community development programs to help members integrate while maintaining their heritage.
